By signing up, accessing, or using Care Companion you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy practices. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for all activity under your account. One account per person; do not share login credentials.

Care Companion is intended to help individuals and care circles organise medications, routines, recipes, and health events. You agree not to misuse the Service, including: attempting to gain unauthorised access, scraping, reverse-engineering, uploading malicious content, abusing other users, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.

Care Companion is an organisational tool, not a medical device and not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding medical decisions. You are solely responsible for the medications, dosages, schedules, and health information you record and share through the Service.

Care Companion offers a free tier as well as paid Premium plans (monthly, yearly, and lifetime). Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment provider. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. Lifetime plans are a one-time purchase that grants access for the lifetime of the Service. Prices may change with reasonable notice; changes do not affect the current billing period.

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period.

All payments are final and non-refundable. This includes, without limitation: partial billing periods, unused subscription time, accidental purchases, forgotten cancellations, lifetime purchases, and downgrades. If your subscription renews because you did not cancel in time, the charge is non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days and we will review your case at our sole discretion.

You retain ownership of the content you create in Care Companion (medications, routines, recipes, notes, etc.). By using the Service you grant Care Companion a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and process your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

When you invite co-caregivers to your care circle, they gain access to the data shared within that circle. You are responsible for choosing whom to invite and for revoking access when appropriate.

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy practices. While we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of any data that is critical to you.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR ALWAYS AVAILABLE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARE COMPANION AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, MISSED MEDICATIONS, INCORRECT OR DELAYED REMINDERS, MISUSE OF THE APP BY YOU OR OTHERS, DOWNTIME, OR HARM RESULTING FROM RELIANCE ON INFORMATION IN THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD 50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

You agree to indemnify and hold Care Companion and its operators harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or that pose a risk to other users or to the Service. You may delete your account at any time from your settings; once deleted, your data may be removed and is generally not recoverable.

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version. Material changes will be communicated within the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
